HOW “THE HOLIDAYS” CAN KNOCK 25 YEARS OFF YOUR LIFE
HOW “THE HOLIDAYS” CAN KNOCK 25 YEARS OFF YOUR LIFE
The Holidays
Socrates said, “The unexamined life is not worth living.”
Without question, one of the most important practices you must
perform is re-assessment. You must look at yourself and at all the
world from a fresh, new perspective on a regular basis.
Once
a large truck was driving through one of the busiest tunnels in New
York City. The truck was so large, in fact, that it got stuck in the
tunnel and could not back up or move forward Traffic eventually got
backed up for miles and miles. Dozens of traffic, accident, bridge,
road, and truck experts were on the scene for hours trying to figure
out what to do. Just as the situation and the frustration of the
experts was beginning to get out of hand, a 10 year old little girl
poked her head out of the window and said, “Why don’t you just
let the air out of the tires.” The dilemma was resolved.
Most
people call November and December “The Holidays.” Because it’s
“The Holidays,” people tend to get irresponsible and careless.
You eat mass quantities, put all sorts of horrible food and drink
into your body, exercise less (if at all), miss adjustments, spend
too much, and put self improvement things off until after “The
Holidays.”
If you add to these two months all of the other
times you tend to completely neglect your health like; parties,
anniversaries, other holidays, birthdays, weddings, weekends, etc.
you are basically being irresponsible for your health (and many other
areas of your life) approximately 3 months out of every year.
By
the time you are 40 years old, you will have spent 10 years doing
serious, possibly irreparable damage to your body. “The Holidays,”
are a time designated to celebrate the many joys of life and
appreciate God’s blessings. However, they have become a time
dedicated to shortening life and destroying God’s amazing and
awesome good works. It is time to look at “The Holidays” from a
new perspective.
Have a blast, eat like a pig for 3-4 meals
over the 6 weeks, and mostly remember it’s about God and others
–both of whom want you to live a long and joyous life.
URGENT
AND IMPORTANT: YOUR HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
“The Holidays” are a time of stress –- emotional,
physical, and especially chemical. This is a time to increase and not
decrease your adjustments. If you’re being adjusted:
1 x
week: Increase to 2 x week from Nov. 28th – Jan. 2nd
2 x
week: Increase to 3 x week from
3 x week: DON’T MISS! If
you do, make it up within 24 hours!!
Do not also forget your
ethical and moral obligation to others. It’s the time of giving and
serving. Your family, friends, and co-workers are destroying their
bodies too. Remember to continue to bring people in to the
chiropractor during “The holidays.” Don’t take, “After the
holidays” for an answer. It will be the greatest gift you’ll give
this year.
Italian Saying:
“Sono
divencete veccio, Troppo presto, ma Furbo troppo tardi"
“I got old too soon and smart too late”
